Our Mission
In Southern California—especially throughout Los Angeles County—families of veterans and first responders are often left without clear guidance or timely support when arranging military funeral honors. Time is limited, emotions are high, and funeral homes may not be familiar with military protocols or resources.
Our Veterans Funeral Honors Liaison Program exists to bridge that gap. We work directly with families, mortuaries, and local agencies to simplify, expedite, and coordinate the essential elements of military and ceremonial funeral services. Whether the family has limited documentation or no idea where to start, we step in with compassion and precision to ensure every hero is honored with the dignity they deserve.
We proudly assist with:
We serve all of Los Angeles County and surrounding Southern California regions with professionalism, cultural awareness, and a steadfast commitment to honoring those who served.
We provide support to veterans and their families during funeral and burial arrangements. We are here to assist, not replace any existing services. Please inform your funeral director about how we can serve you and your family, ensuring a smooth and respectful process.
Requesting an Honor Guard
Active-duty service members provide honor guards primarily to fold and present the United States flag at military funerals. All other ceremonial elements—rifle salutes, buglers, pallbearers, and additional support—are provided by veteran service organizations to ensure a full and dignified tribute.
Ceremonial Bugler
A real bugler brings authenticity, honor, and dignity to a veteran’s final farewell. Unlike a recording, the live performance of Taps carries deep emotion, echoing the solemn tradition of military service and sacrifice. The presence of a bugler ensures the ceremony is both personal and timeless, offering families a powerful and heartfelt tribute.
Bagpipers at Funerals
The bagpipe has long been associated with military and ceremonial traditions, especially in honoring the fallen. Its powerful, haunting sound carries over great distances, evoking dignity, solemnity, and respect. Bagpipers symbolize remembrance, pride, and the enduring legacy of service, making their presence a moving tribute at funerals and memorials.
Firing Parties / Rifle Teams
Firing parties perform the ceremonial three-volley salute at military funerals and patriotic events, a tradition that honors the service and sacrifice of veterans. Their precision and discipline reflect military values and provide a powerful, solemn tribute that conveys respect and gratitude. The firing party’s role ensures that every ceremony is conducted with dignity, leaving a lasting impression on family, friends, and the community.
Chaplain's
Military chaplains provide spiritual guidance, comfort, and support to families and service members during funerals and memorial services. They lead prayers, deliver meaningful words of remembrance, and help ensure the ceremony honors the veteran’s faith, values, and service. Their presence brings dignity, solace, and a sense of sacred tradition to every farewell.
Pallbearer's
Our dedicated pallbearers personally honor every veteran, prioritizing those experiencing hardship. By hardship, we mean veterans who are homeless, have no next-of-kin, or whose passing was the result of a tragic loss, homicide, or an accident resulting in tragic death. With care and respect, they escort your loved one through each step of the ceremony, ensuring a dignified and meaningful farewell. Whether carrying the casket or standing alongside our honor guard, they help create a heartfelt tribute that recognizes a life of service.
Final Role Call
The 1SG Role Call is a solemn military tradition that honors a fallen service member in a deeply personal way. During the ceremony, the decedent’s peers or battle buddies report to the First Sergeant. After each report, the 1SG acknowledges that the decedent is no longer present, calling their name aloud. This is followed by a moment of silence, accompanied by the tolling of a bell, marking the profound respect, loss, and enduring bond shared among those who served together.
We assist veterans and their families with funeral and burial arrangements by guiding them through VA benefits, securing burial locations, requesting headstones, flags, and Presidential Memorial Certificates, and coordinating with cemeteries and service organizations. Our role is to simplify the process, provide clear support, and ensure every veteran is honored with dignity and respect.
We recover DD-214 discharge papers and provide official service verification letters for veterans and their families.
